Incy Interiors are Australia’s most coveted nursery furniture label and under the helm of founder and designer Kristy Withers have brought life to nurseries and bedrooms around the country with their contemporary take on vintage style and delightful bursts of colour. Today we talk to Kristy about some Big News!
So what’s new for Incy Interiors?
We are currently working on our new store opening in Bathurst NSW!
Tell us why you’re excited about the new store opening?
It is in the most amazing old converted flour mill. We have a HUGE space and we will have not only a retail store there but also our offices and our first ever Incy outlet. We are opening on 23rd July 2016 so please come and visit if you are in the area.
Have you had the vision to open a new store for a long time? Or did this just happen?
I actually had no desire at all to open another store but when the space became available and it is so perfect we jumped at the chance!
What is your favorite piece at the moment in the Incy Interiors collection and why?
I am a little obsessed with the new velvet collection especially the pale pink settee. I cannot wait for my new house to be finished so I can actually have it in my home!
Finally Kristy, what are the design trends you are seeing emerge for 2016/7?
The two main trends I see emerging at the moment is a darker and moodier colour palette. Along with a move away from have lots and having more curated interiors.
Incy Interiors opens it’s doors in Crago Mill’s handsome property, 2A Piper Street, Bathurst on 23rd and 24th July, 2016. Located in the thriving regional centre of Bathurst, this charming, heritage-listed icon, built over 100 years ago as a technology leading flour mill will house a selection of contemporary high-fashion furniture split across two levels. Featuring exposed brick, industrial beams and distressed floorboards, the store’s charming décor contrasts beautifully against Incy’s contemporary collection and provides shoppers with an opportunity to select from ex-photoshoot and sample stock including 50 cots and beds at bargain prices in the 250m2 mezzanine outlet.
