Sometimes, just sometimes, it takes more than a good story to entice the reader in your child. Whether it be a dedicated room, a little corner or a tent – a book nook is a comfy, quiet place to get lost in the pages of a good book. Develop the love of books in your child and they will never get bored – who could be when an adventure awaits!? Perhaps its time to create a little haven away from the buzz of family life for your little (or not so little) reader. Collected below are lots of ideas for you to get started.

Because childrens books are so colourful, its great to have them on display. Not only do they look gorgeous, adding to book nook decor, it also encourages little ones to browse independently through their favourite stories. Think outside the box when it comes to shelving and displaying books – take some inspiration from the ideas below (can you spot the shelf made from guttering?), and if you are handy with a sewing machine, book slings are quick and simple to put together.

For those totally committed to a book oriented space, go for broke with book inspired decor. A great place to start your search is of course Etsy. I just love the stair rise decals which can be custom made to any book you want!
